Olympic Pin Cultural Exhibition

Originating from the ancient Greek culture, the Olympic culture takes free competition between individuals as its background and scientific thought as its core tenet.

Olympic Games are a global sporting event that has a strong appeal. The Olympic culture is a world democratic culture that reflects the cultures of the host countries.

This rich culture includes Olympic symbols, flags, medals, mottos, anthems, torches, mascots, commemorative coins, opening and closing ceremonies, and other relevant cultural and artistic activities.

The exhibition is divided into an exhibition area for the Summer Olympics and an exhibition area for the Winter Olympics to show their respective histories and cultures.

The Torch Relay was introduced for the first time at the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics. The Torch Relay was introduced to the Winter Olympic Games in 1952, 16 years after it was adopted by the Summer Olympic Games.

The creative inspiration of the torch comes from "auspicious clouds", indicating all humans can live in harmony. The torch shape design is inspired by traditional Chinese paper scrolls. Featuring the pattern of "auspicious clouds" and the relief design, the well-proportioned torch is elegant, gorgeous and rich in connotation.

Torch for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games (2022 Winter Olympics):

Inspired by nature, the overall shape of the torch "Flying" is streamlined and vigorous. The main body of the torch features a spiral design that resembles a dancing ribbon, on top of which the Olympic flame will burn. The emblem of Beijing 2022 sits on the mid-section of the torch, while the whirling red line on its body represents the Great Wall, the skiing tracks at the Games, and mankind's relentless pursuit of light, peace, and excellence. The use of red and silver as primary colors for the torch are metaphors of ice and fire, meant to symbolize how the torch will bring "light and warmth to the world of ice and snow."
