Architectural Model
Located in the area south of the entrance to the east gate of the venue, the architectural model of the "Ice Ribbon" visualizes the building and structural form.
The model includes the cable net roof, glass curtain walls, seats, and other structures. It's also equipped with lighting strips to vividly show the floodlight effects of the project.

Roof Cable Sample
With a size of 198x124 meters, the roof cable net structure of the National Speed Skating Oval, the world's largest roof cable net on a stadium, is made of high-vanadium closed cables manufactured in China.
The cables are made of locked coil wire ropes. The inner layers are made of round steel wires, while the outer layers are made of 2 to 3 layers of Z-shaped steel wires. The cable features a compact structure, flat surface, high anti-corrosion and carrying capacity.

Ice Ribbon Sample
Outside the glass curtain walls of the National Speed Skating Oval, there are 22 "ice ribbons" that circle each other. Inspired by the trajectory of speed skaters skating on the ice surface, the number of ribbons implies the year of Beijing Winter Olympics.
The average length of each "ice ribbon", which is printed with crystal clear ultra-white glass glaze, is about 620 meters, while the total length of the ribbons is about 13,640 meters.

Curtain Wall Glass Sample
As the main carrier of the "Ice Ribbon" design concept, curtain walls of the National Speed Skating Oval are composed of four stacks of curved surfaces in free forms lofted along the saddle-shaped boundaries, which is the first in the world.
Covering 19,000 square meters, the 3,360 curtain wall units, half of which are curved glasses, feature a low repetition rate, large sizes, many specifications, and high complexity in processing and installation.
Semi-tempered double ultra-white double-silver low-emission double-laminated hollow glasses, which consist of 4 pieces of 8 mm thick ultra-white curved arc semi-tempered heat-dipped glasses with a 12 mm thick hollow layer filled with argon gas, are used in the glass panels of the curtain walls.
